Anyone who would expect a floor covered with typical white balls or other rubbish from a polystyrene factory would be very wrong. In Modřice Bachl polystyrene, which is a member of the EPS CR Association and at the same time the most modern and largest producer of this material in the Czech Republic, pieces of polystyrene can only be seen in the closed areas of the machines.

The factory in Modřice in Brno produces up to 14,000 tons of polystyrene foam per year, which is most often used as insulation for apartments or packaging material. In addition, the used material can be recycled, most often it is collected from Brno collection yards and retail chains with electronics. The production itself then takes place under the direction of roughly a dozen robots, which include four automated carts with special sensors, thanks to which they move in the terrain without collisions.

At the beginning of June, we organized a production tour for an exclusive group of journalists. In particular, the automated elements of production attracted the attention of journalists. In total, the presstrip generated 8 articles with a reach of over 5 million readers.
